We sponsor meetings and events for the public and League members

Thursday, July 10, 2008	5:30-7:30pm	La Crosse Pubic Library, Main Branch, Auditorium	Special Registration Deputy Training. Here's your opportunity to be trained as a Special Registration Deputy for the State of Wisconsin. We have arranged for a Trainer from the Government Accountability Board (GAB) to come to La Crosse. This training will certify you as a legal registrar who can register any Wisconsin voter during open periods for the rest of this year. (And can be extended beyond this year) If you would like to participate in League sponsored voter registrations drives, or for any other registration drive in the state, you have to have this training. If you have been certified by the City of La Crosse, you still can register City Residents for the Clerk, but this will allow you to register those outside of the City. To register, send an email to Ellen Rosborough ellen.rosborough@mchsi.com as soon as possible. The names are sent to the Elections Division of the GAB prior to the training so that they can prepare the certificates. Deadline is July 3. There is no cost and you do not have to be a member of League, but you do have to be an eligible voter in Wisconsin.
