The League of Women Voters of the La Crosse Area and the AAUW-La Crosse Branch
are proud to host a special screening of
Can You Hear Us Now?
--a powerful new film that shows the personal impact of gerrymandering in the state of Wisconsin.

A nonpartisan coalition of Wisconsin organizations in Congressional District 3 are proud to host this special screening of Can You Hear Us Now?, a powerful new film that shows the personal and political impact of gerrymandering in the state of Wisconsin. The goal of the screening is to raise awareness and invite Wisconsinites to join our fight to end gerrymandering in Wisconsin this year!

We invite you to watch the film anytime between May 2-5 then join a community discussion about what's happening in Wisconsin to pass legislation and draw fair maps in 2021.

On May 5 at 6:30 pm, filmmakers Jim Cricchi and Susan Peters will be joined by a panel of guest experts including:

Former State Senators Dale Schultz and Tim Cullen, Fair Elections Project
Joseph Heim, emeritus professor of Political Science/Public Administration at UW-La Crosse
Annemarie McClellan, People's Maps Commissioner (3rd CD)

About the Film:

Small-town activism. Nail-biting elections. A last-minute power grab. In Wisconsin, voters are finding their lives increasingly irrelevant to state lawmakers. Through the stories of four tireless women fighting to have their voices heard, "Can You Hear Us Now?" unravels the ways that years of one-party control have reshaped democracy in a state in the crosshairs of American politics.
