La Crosse County Board Candidates Open House

Saturday, March 14th Morning & Afternoon Sessions
Cleary & Friends Alumni Center

9:30-11:30 am for County Districts 1-15
1:00-3:00 pm for County Districts 16-30

Address: UW-La Crosse Campus, 615 East Ave. North

You're invited! Meet the County Board candidates who are running in the upcoming April 7 Election. These local leaders will make decisions that affect your everyday life - roads, health care, housing, business, water, and more. Ask them about issues that are important to you. This is a great opportunity to get to know the candidates before you mark your ballot.

Find your district and a candidate list here: lwvlacrosse.org/county. An event flyer is attached to share with your friends and family.

We're hosting all 41 registered candidates, and aim to:
- Provide a nonpartisan hosted event that fosters civil conversation and community connection
- Provide a recording option so voters are able to view candidate statements at their convenience

These are the partners in this candidate conversation project, along with the websites where recordings will be available online:
- La Crosse Area Chamber of Commerce (lacrossechamber.com)
- La Crosse Area Development Corporation (ladcolax.com)
- La Crosse Area League of Women Voters (lwvlacrosse.org)
- UWL- Department of Political Science and Public Administration

There will be other races on area Spring Election ballots, including School Board, State Supreme Court Judge, Municipal Court Judge, and possibly more, depending on your city or township. Historically, your vote carries more weight in local spring elections because voter turnout is significantly lower, and winning margins can be thin. A single vote can decide who gets elected.
