Save the Date: Annual Meeting

Our annual meeting is the high point of our League calendar, where we set intentions for the year ahead and celebrate accomplishments over the past 12 months. Following a video message by Dianna Wynn, President of LWVUS, we’ll do some inspired brainstorming for the future. Impactful, mission-centric ideas encouraged!
New members, we especially welcome your energy, feedback and suggestions. Democracy is not a spectator sport – and neither is LWV! Please join us for our May 13 event, and consider bringing a friend.
As part of our regular gathering, we approve documents that we all have read before gathering. Below you will find the link to the home page of our website, where the scroll bar contains a link to the four documents to read. Be sure to sign in as a member to access the documents. Once you have done that, continue to the registration page to sign up for the meeting. We look forward to seeing you there!

IN OUR TROUBLED DAYS IT IS GOOD TO HAVE SOMETHING OUTSIDE OUR PLANET FOR COMFORT
The true story of 19th-century astronomer Henrietta Leavitt explores a woman’s place in society during a time of immense scientific discoveries, when women’s ideas were dismissed until men claimed credit for them. Social progress, like scientific progress, can be hard to see when one is trapped among earthly complications; Henrietta Leavitt and her female peers believe in both, and their dedication changed the way we understand both the heavens and Earth.
Four dates to attend: April 16-19
