What's On The Ballot
clerk 8-16-22
The clerk of circuit court handles record keeping, finance, and administration for the court as well as jury management. Clerks of circuit courts work with all those involved in the county judicial process including judges, county boards and the public.
Why does this matter?
As the administrative link between the court, county government, and the public, the clerk of circuit court plays a pivotal role in ensuring our courts run smoothly and efficiently. In their recordkeeping role, the clerk of circuit court is responsible for ensuring reasonable access to court records and maintaining the confidentiality of records as determined by statute or court order. The clerk of circuit court also handles the money paid in fees, fines, and forfeitures and plays a significant role in ensuring these funds are managed responsibly.

6:30 to 8pm (in person)

Aug bkcl8-2
The  August Book Club will meet in person in the roofed picnic shelter of Riverside International Friendship Gardens. If the shelter is not available, we will meet at the garden entryway to select a different spot in the park, so bring a chair. If weather is severe, we will meet via Zoom.
Bring your ideas for recommendations for books to read going forward.
All participants should still register as they will receive a backup Zoom link if the outdoor venue needs to be canceled. Participants will also receive an email confirming if the outdoor location is a "go."
