Ecological Challenges of the Upper Mississippi River:
What are the ecological challenges impacting the Upper Mississippi River, and what role does the UW River Studies Program play in assessing challenges and opportunities to protect the river? The program includes the status of short and long-term research on the river, threats to that research, the role of the UW River Studes research vessel, and coordination with other agencies studying and protecting the river.

The Coulee Homeless and Housing Coalition and the League of Women Voters of the La Crosse Area are co-hosting a screening of Beyond the Bridge: A Solution to Homelessness. This special follow-up to the community screening held in October 2025 is a viewing-only event for the public.
